Continue reading below to learn more about this advanced form of non-invasive tooth repair.

What Is Curodont?

To understand what Curodont is, you should have a basic knowledge of how cavities form. Essentially, they occur when bacteria in the mouth interact with sugars and starches. This causes an acidic film to form on the teeth (plaque). Eventually, the acids in plaque wear away at minerals in the tooth enamel and cause small holes to form.

Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus can reverse the cavity-forming process while it is still in its early stages. It is an advanced topical formula that uses minerals to rebuild lost bits of tooth enamel. In addition to containing fluoride, it also contains other minerals and a special peptide. Together, these ingredients work to fortify teeth and reverse early signs of tooth decay.

How Does the Curodont Process Work?

The Curodont process is fast, painless, and completely non-invasive. Here are a few notes on what to expect:

  • The treatment usually takes 5 minutes or less and can be incorporated into virtually any appointment type. Because it works best on clean teeth, we may recommend that you receive Curodont after a thorough dental cleaning.
  • We simply paint Curodont onto your teeth and allow it to dry for a few minutes. No needles or anesthesia are required.
  • Curodont can be combined with a traditional fluoride varnish.
  • Immediately after your appointment, you can go about your day, and Curodont will continue to work to fortify your teeth and rebuild lost bits of enamel.
  • We may recommend that you continue receiving Curodont at your biannual preventive appointments so you can continue to enjoy its benefits.

The Benefits of Curodont Treatment

In addition to being fast, non-invasive, and totally painless, Curodont offers some additional benefits:

  • Curodont is biomimetic. Basically, that means it imitates designs found in nature. It helps to rebuild new hydroxyapatite in teeth. (Hydroxyapatite is the form of calcium that is found in teeth.)
  • Curodont is effective. It has a 95% success rate, and it is up to 13 times more likely to repair early signs of tooth decay than fluoride varnish alone.
  • Curodont can help you save money. Curodont may be able to indefinitely delay the formation of cavities, which means you may be able to avoid paying for fillings and other restorative treatments.
